Today is Ash Wednesday, the beginning of the liturgical season of Lent. We begin our Lenten journey toward the celebration of Easter on April 4, 2021. In more normal "non-Covid" times, we would be gathering this evening in the church Social Hall for a potluck dinner followed by a simple communion service. In fact our last church dinner before we closed the building to in-person worship was on Ash Wednesday, February 26, 2020.
By now you have received a Lenten Devotional, The Way to Shalom, in the mail as well as a simple Lenten Prayer a Day calendar on our most recent church newsletter. Please enjoy these to deepen your faith.
We have created a virtual Ash Wednesday worship service for this evening. Our church building remains closed to in-person worship. We pray that today's virtual worship service will provide strength and hope for your journey in these challenging times.
